Quoi de neuf - French shopping in October 2022

New products, designs and ideas from around France

Accessorise in style

A sub-brand of the historic Altesse jewellery maker founded in Ardèche in 1917, Les Georgettes brings a touch of retro chic in honour of Georges Legros, original founder of Maison Altesse.

Choose from their extensive range of affordable bracelets, rings, earrings, necklaces and watches, as well as leather goods including handbags and belts.

We love this Valse bracelet (€119) with a gold finish paired with a reversible (burgundy / pink) leather insert of your choosing, so you can change the colour of your jewellery piece to match your outfit.

Also fun and original is their quirky Girafe watch with a silver finish in ‘Navy and Sun’ colours (€149). Online gift cards are available for as little as €20 – Christmas is coming!

See website for the complete product range.

Footwear for the ages

In the footwear game for over 75 years, the production of Kleman (a contraction of the original company name Cléon Manufacture) shoes and boots remains exclusively carried out in France at their workshop in Anjou. They focus on durability but are also committed to eco-engaged tanning processes.

Model shown, the sturdy and stylish Cagna boot for men, price €170. Soles in 20% recycled rubber. See website for full range of products for men and women.

Sofa so good

In 1840, François-Baptiste Duvivier set up his saddlery workshop in the Vienne region to manufacture top notch French leather products. By 1953, production turned towards seating and now, over seven generation later, the firm still makes exceptional sofas and armchairs.

We love the Elsa range, created by the stylist and designer Guillaume Hinfray. The clean, squared-off lines are counterbalanced by the roundness of large duffel bag like bolsters/cushions. Perfect for settling down in style for a cosy evening as autumn draws in. See website for retailers near you, price on application.
