FOREIGN residents in the Lot and the Corrèze are invited to get involved with a new Franco-English social group.

The club aims to help expats mix with the French and get the two neighbouring departments to work more closely together.

On the Corrèze side, the initiative is being supported by a number of residents in Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne.

Across the border in the Lot, the tourist office in Bretenoux is also involved with planning the meetings.

Fortnightly gatherings are organised in cafés in the area every other Tuesday afternoon, including tea, cakes and bilingual games.
