CRICKET players in La-Roche-sur-Yon are enjoying a busy summer season of fixtures, with clashes against two Loire rivals and two Brittany clubs in the coming months.

The 20-strong group includes two young French players who are keen to pick up the sport.

The team meet regularly at the Vallée Verte in La Roche for training.

Forthcoming fixtures include a home match against Saumur on July 3 at 14.00.

The return match will be in Saumur on September 11 at the Rives de Thouet sports complex.

La Roche will play away to Oust cricket club (Morbihan) on August 15, and will welcome Le Moulin (Mayenne) on August 29. The group will then head back to Brittany to play Gourin (Morbihan) on September 26.
