AN ANNUAL festival that aims to make classical music accessible to multinational residents turns 10 this year.
Arpèges en Gascogne was founded by local resident Verena Jouveshomme and brings international performers to the medieval church in Tillac, near Pau.
The 2009 series so far has included the Fauré String Quintet (pictured), who performed Brahms and Mozart.
Three more events are to come: baroque on September 13, a piano recital on September 27 and the Cambini String Quartet on October 2.
Tickets are €15. Music students and under-16s are free. Call 05 62 70 00 43 or email vb.jouveshomme@free.fr
