A DONKEY welfare charity in the Tarn-et-Garonne is holding four open days this month.

The Liberté des Ains refuge, in Belvèze, will open to the public on June 15, 16, 20 and 21.

Visitors can come to visit the donkeys, walk and stroke them. There will also be table-tennis, billiards, products for sale and lunch, snacks, drinks and ice-creams.

"We need all the help we can get because we are being contacted all the time by people who want to send in donkeys to us or report them in a bad state," the group says.

Other fundraising events in June include a curry evening and a lunch in Montaigu-de-Quercy.
