AN ENGLISH-language library in the Maine-et-Loire is expanding into the neighbouring Mayenne, offering a mobile book lending service on a trial basis.

Ellia, which is based in Angers, will take online orders from its catalogue of 32,000 works and deliver the books to a central pick-up point in Château Gontier once a month, probably on a Thursday morning to coincide with market day.
