THE CHAMPAGNE corks were popping in Mazieres-en-Gatine in the Deux-Sèvres to celebrate the 21st anniversary of British support group Get Together.

More than 90 members old and new shared stories of past events and looked forward to those in the pipeline for the rest of the year.

Kate Sangster was voted in for a second term as president, supported by committee members Brian Stead, Diane Mousdale, Margaret Boardman, Steve Collins and Anne Amsden.

The club has a very active social programme which includes a monthly walk, quiz night, history group and book lending library.
