A RADIO station in the Deux-Sèvres will be broadcasting a five-part adaptation for radio of Charles Dickens' classic A Christmas Carol in English this Christmas.

The readings will be transmitted on Radio Accords every afternoon at 15.45, repeated in the evenings at 22.40, from Monday December 21 to Christmas Day.

A Christmas Carol has been adapted for radio in five quarter-hour episodes by Gavin Brown and will be read by Valerie Brown.

Together Gavin and Valerie present a regular Sunday morning programme in English for Radio Accords: Espace Spirituel Anglophone, which brings together listeners and contributors from the main Christian faith communities.

Radio Accords broadcasts on 94.7 FM (Poitiers), 99.2 FM (Chatellerault), 90.3 FM (Montmorillon), 91.9 FM (Civray), 89.3 FM (Niort) and 94.4 FM (Parthenay).

The programmes can also be heard via a simultaneous internet broadcast at www.radio-accords-poitou.com

The whole series of five episodes will also be available 24/7 on the internet as podcast recordings until Saturday January 10.
