100km walk for soldiers' charity
Connexion edition: March 2010

SIX women in the Deux-Sèvres are preparing to walk 100km through the Poitou-Charentes this month to raise money for injured British soldiers.

Sandie Hill, Joan Coleman, Pauline Reay, Christine Cope, Christine Parsons and Anne Benthack will set off from Lezay on the morning of March 15 with the goal of reaching the Arc de Triomphe in the centre of Saintes in the Charente-Maritime on the afternoon of March 19.

Each of the participants has been collecting sponsorship money and will be carrying sponsor forms and donation tins with them en-route.

The money raised will go to Help For Heroes, the UK charity that helps British servicemen and women who have been injured in conflict zones.

To support them, email john.hill@h4hcounty.org.uk or call 05 49 27 66 65.

You can also donate at www.justgiving.com/lezay-saintes
