Orly disruptions until Saturday
October 22, 2009

EASYJET flights to and from Paris will remain disrupted until Saturday morning despite service staff at Orly airport calling off their strike.

A number of flights linking Orly with Nice, Toulouse, Rome, Berlin and Geneva are cancelled today and tomorrow.

Other services are departing from terminal three at Charles de Gaulle, with a bus shuttle in place. Flights are expected to return to normal on Saturday, but travellers are advised to check beforehand.

Easyjet’s French customer services call centre can be reached on 08 26 10 33 20, but the airline is warning of waits of up to an hour for an adviser to become available.

It is advising passengers who speak good English to call the UK call centre instead on +44 871 244 2366, where the waiting time is expected to be about 15 minutes.

The Easyjet website has a full list of the affected flights.

Employees working for Servisair protested for eight days after the company lost the contract to provide check-in and baggage services at Orly’s south terminal.

The strike was called off last night after the two rival companies bidding to take over the contract promised that all 432 jobs would be transferred.
