YOU can now request a cap on the cost of using your mobile phone for internet abroad.

You would not be able to use the internet after reaching this payment level – currently set at €59.80.

This aims to stop people running up huge bills and can be important in border areas of France, where some customers have run up bills of several hundred thousand euros by accidentally connecting to foreign services.

From July this cap will be the default arrangement for all.
