AN AMATEUR English-language theatre group in the Deux-Sèvres is putting on an “old-time variety extravaganza” in March

Reaction Theatre describes the performance as: “magnificent, magical, meteoric merry-go-round of exuberant entertainment”.

“From melodrama to music hall, from sketches to songs you thought you'd forgotten – there's something for everyone.”

In keeping with the theme, the audience is invited to dress accordingly. Full dress would be appreciated, but a hat, shawl, pearly button waistcoat or twirly moustache will add to the atmosphere of the evening.

The performances, all starting at 20.00, are:

Hotel Balizy, St Maixent-l'-Ecole
March 12 and 13 at 20.00

Salle de la Maison du Village, Vasles
March 19 at 20.00

Salle de l'Avenir, Foussais Payre
March 26 and 27
