DOCTOR Feelgood and Robert Johnson are among the acts confirmed for the Verteuil en Musique festival in the Charente this July.

During one weekend, from July 16-18, the village of Verteuil-sur-Charente, set on the banks of the River Charente, will welcome music fans of all ages.

In the very first event of its kind, the village streets will resonate to the sound the big names booked to appear on the main concert stage in the magical setting of the Parc du Château de Verteuil.

Between concerts, the heart of the village will host the Festival ‘Off’, with live music provided by a range of musicians, a producers’ market, a fine-art exhibition and guided walks revealing the history of this remarkable village.

This non-profit-making event is not limited to one musical genre. Throughout the weekend visitors can enjoy rock, blues, jazz, world music and more

Tickets are €22 a day or €40 for a weekend pass. Under-12s are free and a 10% discount applies to bookings before July 1.
