WEBSITES allowing people to resell their unwanted Christmas presents have reported a boom in activity since yesterday - with a new Opinionway study finding 52% of people would consider making money from their gifts.
eBay.fr saw a surge in new listings from 9am on Christmas Day - mostly clothes, books and telephone accessories - and says it expects the peak for present-selling to be January 7, when most people are back from their holidays.
The average re-sale price of a present is said to be €41. Last year, re-sold presents generated €359 million in income for the French.
Priceminister.com has set up a special section dedicated to vendors who are disappointed with their presents.
