Bardot reunited with missing cat

Rontonton had been missing for a month, prompting a 600-euro appeal for his safe return

BRIGITTE Bardot has paid out a €600 reward after being reunited with her favourite cat, who had been missing for more than a month.

The animal rights campaigner launched an appeal at the end of March after Rontonton disappeared from her Saint-Tropez estate.

Rontonton is two years old and it is believed she went into hiding because she was frightened by the noise of pruning work in the garden.

Since then, more than 200 people phoned to offer their help and the missing cat received national media attention.

The concierge at a nearby villa found the animal on Tuesday afternoon and Rontonton is said to be in good health.
