Free eye tests across country

The association Asnav is organising free check ups at 6,000 opticians in France

SIX thousand opticians across the country are taking part in a scheme to offer free eye tests in October.

The tests are open to anyone and can be arranged until October 18.

It is the tenth year that Asnav, the Association nationale pour l'amélioration de la vue, has organised the event.

Earlier this year the group’s annual survey on eye care found that people were paying less attention to their vision.

Asnav found that 26% of the country had not had an eye test within the last two years (up six points on last year’s survey) and one third said they only changed their glasses every four years or more (up 13 points on 2013).
