Give your views on UK tax plan

There is just one week left to respond to plans to remove income tax personal allowance from expats

THERE is one week to go for anyone wishing to respond to the UK government’s plans to restrict the personal income tax allowance to residents of the UK.

As reported in our September and October issues and our email newsletter, the UK is seeking to save money by levying more tax on non-residents who have income such as money from UK rents or, depending on what the government decides, government pensions.

The full proposals can be found at: Consultation details.

Comments have to be sent by the end of Thursday October 9 to nonresidentspersonalallowanceconsultation@hmtreasury.gsi.gov.uk, or they can be posted to the address provided on the website in the above link.
