COMMUTERS across France can now take a little musical time out of their busy lives after pianos were installed at 12 railway stations.
In December, travellers at Chicago’s Union Station were delighted by a remote control piano - but ordinary ones work just as well, French commuters have proved.
Following a successful trial in Paris’s Montparnasse station, Gares and Connexions - a subsidiary of SNCF - has decided to put pianos in SNCF Bordeaux, SNCF Gare de Lyon Saint-Exupéry, Marseille train station, Paris Austerlitz, Lyon, Rennes, Rouen, Strasbourg SNCF Station and Tours.
This video from L’Express follows people who took time out from their lives to enjoy a short musical break at Saint-Lazaire.
Passengers in Rennes have also made the most of the pianos, as this France TV video shows.
