Authority is jumping gun

A letter sent from NHS Business Services Authority states that the UK is leaving the European Union on October 31.

This statement is totally unqualified anywhere in the letter. I have written to the chief executive in strong terms saying that this is not, as yet, correct, but is just an aspiration of the Prime Minister – asking why such wording has been used, and without qualification.

A letter from the UK Ambassador mentions “the Prime Minister is committed to leaving the EU on October 31”.

I really do think we should congratulate him on such a personal sacrifice and commitment on behalf of the country, and I would gladly chip in to a fund to give him a deal, so he can get as far away as possible from his hated Europe.

Nicolas Bell, Combrit
