IN the October edition of your paper there was an enquiry as to typing the French accented characters on a standard QWERTY Win 10 keyboard. This link provides international ANSI codes.
Use the code number provided in the first column, for example 233, hold down the Alt key and type 0233 on the number pad with Num lock active and the letter “é” will come up. A few minutes spent copying out the regularly used ones and hanging the list in front of your workstation will be found invaluable.
Moreover, you will very quickly remember the codes most commonly used, as I do.
