Open House Grenoble

Registration #: W381002564

Open House was founded in 1987 to support the growing English-speaking population in Grenoble and the surrounding area. We currently have more than 150 members from 27 countries. Our members are all linked by the English language and the fact that they are now living or have lived as expats. We know what it means to pack up and come to live in a foreign country where the language and customs may be very different from home. The support offered by kindred spirits helps ease the transition during this exciting but challenging time.

Open House runs a wide range of activities for people of all ages and from all walks of life. For members with young kids, we have regular groups plus children’s parties and occasional days out. Other regular get-togethers include wine tastings, lunches, outdoor activities, book groups, and simple coffee meetings where you can get to know other English speakers in the area. If you want to learn French or improve your language skills, we have a French-English exchange. Plus, our members are a source of information on just about anything you could need to know during your time in Grenoble.

As a non-profit, non-denominational, and apolitical association of English speakers, our goal is to assist and support all English speakers who have moved to the Grenoble area.
