English-language Library in Angers/Bibliothèque Anglophone

Registration #:

Our library holds the largest collection of books in English in the West of France.

However, we offer more than just a collection of books - we also organize many activities, such as a film club, a book club, Walk and Talk (our hiking group), pizza and board game events and much more!

See our What’s happening page for full listing:

Twice a year, the library holds an open house event and big book sale (normally we don’t sell books, but on these dates we sell books donated or taken from the collection). This is a big day for us and lots of fun with a tombola (we’ve had free tickets to London donated by British Airways in the past!), a delicious bake sale of homemade goodies and oodles of books in English for sale.

Our membership is valid for one year and allows you access to all of our resources.
The minimum rate ( for under 18s, job seekers, angers carte partenaire holders, students) is 14€
Adults: 45€
Retired (-20%): 36€
Teachers (-40%): 27€
Families: 60€
