Respire Jazz is an association created in 2009. We organise the RESPIRE JAZZ FESTIVAL, which takes place every year, the last weekend of June, in the ancient Abbey of Puypéroux, near Montmoreau (Charente).
Its artistic director is guitarist Pierre Perchaud (Michel Portal Michel Legrand, Chris Cheek, Anne Pacéo, etc), who teaches at the Centre des Musiques Didier Lockwood.
Several beautiful acts have marked the history of the festival, including Youn Sun Nah, Leon Parker, Philip Catherine, Enrico Pieranunzi, Vincent Peirani, Jerry Bergonzi, Chris Cheek, Ulf Wakenius, Baptiste Trotignon, Emile Parisien, and many others.
