Why do I need to register?

 

You can access the majority of our services without having to register. Some services do allow you to personalise your experience in some way and you will need to register to leave comments, make a purchase, subscribe or place a classified advertisement for example.

 

What is email validation?

 

When you register as a user on www.connexionfrance.com , we will send you an email asking you to validate the email address you gave us during the registration process. The email we send you will contain a link to a web page. Click on the link, or cut and paste it into your browser, and you will be shown a page confirming that your registration details are now finalised, and your account has been validated.

The validation process allows us to establish that the email address is genuine, and that you didn’t make a mistake when entering it. It is essential that we have your correct email address in case we need to contact you.

You need to respond to the automatic validation message within 24hrs.

 

I’ve forgotten my password

 

If you have forgotten your password, you can ask for it to be reset from: https://www.connexionfrance.com/user/forgotpassword

You will then receive a first email with a link to reset your password. Click on the link and the password will be sent to you in a second email. Do check your Junk or Spam folder if ever you did not see our emails in your Inbox.

 

Once done, you will be able to login from: https://www.connexionfrance.com/login

 

We suggest you copy and paste the password received in order to avoid mistyping it.

Note that if you so wish, you can change your password later from your My Account area.

Do not forget to make a note of your new password!

I am already a subscriber – do I need to register on your website?

 

  1. If you:
  • subscribed or renewed your subscription to The Connexion before 21/02/2017
  • currently have the paper delivered to your home
  • have an email address linked to your subscription

 

You should then have an account already set up on our website, and therefore do not need to register.

 

To access your account, please enter the email address currently linked to your subscription and generate a new password from https://www.connexionfrance.com/user/forgotpassword

 

You will then receive an email with a link to reset your new password. Click on the link to receive your password. Do check your Junk or Spam folder if ever you did not see our emails in your Inbox.

 

Note that if you so wish, you can change your password later from your My Account area.

 

Do not forget to make a note of your password!

 

  1. If you:
  • subscribed or renewed your subscription to The Connexion since 21/02/2017
  • currently have the paper delivered to your home
  • have an email address linked to your subscription

I am already a subscriber and I have now logged in but I cannot see details of my existing subscription showing in My Account.

 

If you subscribed or renewed your subscription before 21/02/2017, this is normal.

 

If you took out or renewed your subscription before 21/02/2017, it will not show in your My Account section as we had not launched our new website at that point.

Please be assured your subscription will continue to operate as it did when you purchased it.

 

When your current subscription ends – and we will alert you when it does - you will be able to renew by choosing one of the subscription packages, all of which include print and online access.

I am already a subscriber and I have now logged in but I cannot read some of the articles on your website?

 

If you subscribed or renewed your subscription before 21/02/2017, this is normal.

 

If you have one of these subscriptions, we would have sent you an email early March 2017 with details on how to upgrade your subscription for a small charge.

 

Choosing to upgrade would have allowed you to have access to enhanced subscription benefits including:

  • Access our unique online library of practical and news items, all about France.
  • Unlimited access to all articles (free and paying) posted online every day
  • A PDF copy of the current print edition.

 

This is in addition to you receiving your printed copy as you do now. The online upgrade, if you opt for this, would start immediately on payment of the extra charge.

 

The upgrade offer is now over but please contact our offices if ever you were interested in having it reactivated.

 

Please note: All articles which were on our web site prior to the launch of the new site are still freely available. Thus for everyone whose subscription was in place before 21 February 2017, nothing has changed. You will continue to receive The Connexion posted to your home each month until the subscription expires and you can see all articles and features which were on the site at this date.

I have just received notification that my subscription has expired – how can I renew and what subscription packages can I now subscribe to?

 

If you have received notification that your subscription has expired, renew online by choosing one of the subscription offers showing here:

Login to your account using the email address that is currently linked to your subscription.

If you login for the first time, you may have to reset your password here:

https://www.connexionfrance.com/user/forgotpassword

 

You will be sent a first email asking you to confirm that you requested a new password. Click on the link to confirm. You will then be sent a second email showing your password at the bottom. We suggest you copy and paste it so that the password does not get mistyped.

Check your Junk or Spam folder in case the emails get filtered there.

 

You may however have to create a new account if you did not have an email address linked to your subscription before.
