Alzheimer drugs halted
Savings to go to Alzheimer care services

By Connexion journalistFour Alzheimer drugs costing the health service €90million a year will no longer be reimbursed as the ministry moves to stop them being prescribed due to harmful side effects, which include falls and broken bones.
Savings on Aricept, Ebixa, Exelon, Reminyl and generics will go to Alzheimer care services.
