Make most of embassy meeting, campaigners urge

An important British embassy meeting for the British community in France is coming up in Bordeaux

The Gironde branch of campaign group for Britons in Europe, Rift (Remain in France Together) is urging Britons to make the most of a new British embassy outreach meeting in Bordeaux next month.

Rift (part of the British in Europe coalition) told Connexion it is important British people use this chance to tell the UK government their concerns, especially if they are not able to attend UK-based events such as the People’s Vote march on October 20 or The Last Mile citizens’ lobby in Westminster on November 5.

The Bordeaux meeting, a location which should be accessible to many Britons living in the south-west, will be on Friday October 19 at 12.30 to 14.30 and people can sign up at this link

Also next month is an outreach meeting in Toulouse on October 4 (more details here) and then there will be another in November in Chantilly

The meetings are part of an ongoing programme at which top embassy officials (often including UK ambassador Lord Ed Llewellyn) meet with members of the British community to answer questions about the Brexit negotiations and the rights of Britons in France. For future meetings keep an eye on this page

People can also obtain updates from the embassy via its Voisin’s Voices newsletter, Facebook page and Twitter.
