CSF founder Linda dies

Cancer Support France founder Linda Shepherd has died following her own cancer battle. She was 64.

She founded CSF in 2002 in Poitou-Charentes following treatment for breast cancer after moving to France.  Although she praised the treatment, she had felt the need to talk about her fears in her mother tongue.
CSF has since helped 2,000 people and has a national association and 15 affiliated groups to train volunteers.
Mrs Shepherd was active in her CSF Haute-Vienne group until recently. National president Penny Parkinson said: “Linda’s legacy is that CSF is now helping Anglophones touched by cancer across a large part of France.”
