Garde Républicaine guitarist leads crowd in Don’t Look Back in Anger

England and France supporters sang an emotional tribute to terror attack victims, joining the Garde Républicaine who played the Oasis classic Don't Look Back In Anger – led by an electric guitarist.

The crowd at last night’s friendly at Stade de France sang along with the Mancunian band’s song that became iconic in the aftermath of the suicide bomber attack on the Ariana Grande concert that killed 22 people.

Players on both teams wore black armbands and the stadium stood for a minute's silence in honour of both Manchester and London Bridge attack victims.

Fans created a mosaic of the England flag by holding up red and white cards during the emotional tribute which came 18 months after English fans sang La Marseillaise at Wembley in memory of the Paris terror attacks.

The words for both the French anthem and God Save the Queen were shown on giant screens for both sets of fans to join in.

President Macron and Prime Minister Theresa May were in the stands for the game, which France won 3-2.
