French tech repairs Mick Jagger’s heart

Simple heart valve replacement surgery invented in France has got Mick Jagger back on his feet.

His heart illness forced the Rolling Stones to postpone a tour of the US and Canada.

Transcatheter aortic valve replacement surgery, invented by Alain Cribier of Rouen University Hospital, avoids the need for open-heart surgery.

It is less invasive and the band hope 75-year-old Jagger can tour again later this summer.
