More ‘self-care’ could cut queues at the GP

Just 11.7% of people buy over-the-counter medicines against 51% in the UK

French people should opt for more self-medication to cut crowding at GP surgeries and limit the shortage of doctors.

A study for self-care federation Afipa said the reason was that education campaigns in the UK advised people to go to a chemist for minor conditions.
