Toulouse treasure hunters on hunt for €10,000

Ten cards worth €1,000 each have been hidden at various locations around Rose City - up to 53,000 people are now looking for them...

A Hidden Cash game has got thousands of Toulouse residents excitedly hunting for 10 cards worth €1,000 each secreted in various locations around the city.

More than 53,000 Toulousains registered for the first SpeedCashCache game in France - and were alerted to the fact the first clue was on the game's website via Twitter early on Thursday afternoon.

The game started a week after organisers had posted a riddle hinting that the game was about to start.

The Toulousain brains behind SpeedCashCache were inspired by similar events that take place in America. If the launch in their home city is successful, they intend to introduce the concept across a number of French cities.
