Protection for workers who use ‘platforms’ like Uber

Drivers with Uber, delivery cyclists with Deliveroo and other workers who work through intermediary platforms (plateformes numériques collaboratives in French) are set to get better protection.

As part of the new employment law, to be debated in September, a new protective status is expected to be created for the one million independent workers involved, many of whom are auto-entrepreneurs.
