Moving plants from the UK to home in France

Are there any restrictions on bringing plants or seedlings from my garden in the UK in the car to plant in the garden of my home in France? A.F.

There is no general restriction on bringing plants across borders within the EU, with the exception of endangered species, for which you may need a CITES import permit (information on endangered species can be found at speciesplus.net).

It is not permitted to bring in living plants or generally, plants and vegetables with soil attached, from outside the EU.
