The festivities kick off with the parade on Friday evening, before the weekend’s larger processions come into full swing. In the evenings, the carnavaleux meet for concerts in restaurants and bars affiliated with the carnival. This year’s theme The Carnival of the Frontiers of the Grand Est promises a programme honouring Switzerland, Germany, Belgium, Alsace – and Mulhouse. Entry: Free. Open: 2.30pm-8.30pm.
