The Great Phoenix Book Fair

MARTIN WALKER TO OPEN THE GREAT PHOENIX BOOK FAIR Saturday 1ST May 2021 Martin Walker, author of the internationally acclaimed ‘Bruno, Chief of Police’ detective series, will open the next Phoenix Book Fair on Saturday 1st May. This year Phoenix celebrates its 20th birthday and Martin will be cutting the Phoenix Birthday Cakes and signing copies of his latest book. Copies of the book will be available to buy on the day or you can bring along copies you already own for him to sign. The Book Fair will take place outside, in the grounds of the Salle Municipale, Campsegret, on the N21 just north of Bergerac. There will be over 20,000 used books in excellent condition – fiction, non-fiction, children’s, French, Dutch, antiquarian etc - plus DVDs, CDs and vinyls, jigsaws, children’s games, bric-a-brac, plants and cards. Prices start at just 1€! All donations of money, books, DVDs, plants, bric-a-brac etc are welcome on the day. The Book Fair is open from 9am - 3pm. Free parking is available. Children and dogs are very welcome. Masks must be worn and social distancing maintained. Hand cleaning facilities will be available near the stalls and food and drinks will be served outside, individually wrapped. All proceeds will to go to the Phoenix Association to continue the work of caring for and rehoming animals in need.
