Police appeal over missing woman

POLICE are appealing for information about a British woman from the Charente who has not been seen since April 5.

Friends and family of Jane Kennedy, 42, who lives in Aigre, say they are mystified by her disappearance.

A Facebook page has been set up to help gather information.

Gendarmes investigating the case have described her disappearance as worrying.

Her husband Mark Kennedy last saw her on April 5. Her car was later found parked at Lidl in Confolens on April 10.

Mrs Kennedy, who runs the Imagination store in Aigre, making regular appearances at local markets, is well-known among the English-speaking community.

Anyone with information should contact the gendarmerie at Confolens on +33 (0)5 45 21 10 12.
