Coronavirus France: Insurance issues, tourism, masks...

France opened its borders for travel within Europe on June 15 and life is returning to normal in many ways after the launch of “Phase 3” of deconfinement on June 22. Even so, the UK is maintaining its official advice against “non-essential” foreign travel, invalidating most travel insurance policies.

Brexit residency card website set to open in July *UPDATE* NOW DELAYED

France was set to open a website in July for Britons already living here to apply for the new obligatory residency cards that would enable you to become established as a resident before stricter “third-country national” visa and residency rules apply. However, the government announced on Sat, 27 June 2020, that the website launch would be delayed until October 1, 2020. The deadline to apply for the card will be June 30, 2021.
