Château de Thoiry Cricket Club

Registration #:

Founded in 1990 in the Yvelines department to the west of Paris under the patronage of the Vicomtesse de la Panouse, who graciously allows us to play in the superb setting of the château grounds, Thoiry cricket club has built up a reputation as an open, friendly association of like-minded individuals and families centred around the playing of good quality, competitive cricket.

The Thoiry cricket season generally runs from April to October with matches arranged on most Saturdays and Sundays and allows for a full programme of fixtures against other cricket clubs in France as well as visitors from England, Belgium, Holland and Luxembourg.

Over the years, the Club has provided players for various French national squads ranging from Under 11 to full senior representation and the ground is regularly chosen as home venue by the French XI, most recently against MCC in 2012.
Members of the club also organise coaching sessions for pupils at local schools on a regular basis.

The Club is always receptive to the forging of new partnerships with clubs from other countries who would like to visit France for a weekend to play cricket and to the new membership of cricketers and cricket supporters from all over the world. A match day pass to the Château and its grounds can be arranged or a post-match libation can be shared in the clubhouse bar for those who would like to meet with current playing members or supporters.

We offer several types of memberships for active members and supporters at various rates. To find out more, please see our website.
