Four charities offer free help with Britons' residency applications
UK nationals living in France can find free and confidential support for applications for their Withdrawal Agreement Residency Permit with these organisations
Are you a UK national living in France and need help applying for residency? Those legally resident in France before 1 January 2021, must apply online for the new Withdrawal Agreement Residency Permit before 1 July 2021.
If you need help or have questions about your application, you can contact the following organisations for free and confidential support.
IOM - The International Organisation for Migration in Brittany, Normandy, Paris and Ile-de-France, Hauts-de-France and Pays de la Loire
The Franco British Network in Dordogne, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, and Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur
Diocese in Europe - French Residency Support Project in Nouvelle Aquitaine, Occitanie, Bourgogne Franche-Comté, Centre Val de Loire, Grand Est and Corsica
SSAFA - The Armed Forces Charity, across France
Many UK nationals still need to apply, please share this information with anyone in your community, especially those who may not use online services and help spread the word.
Please be patient once you have received your email confirmation following your application. Following up with the prefectures just creates more administration for the staff trying to get through 100's - if not 1000's - of applications and consequently, rather than speeding things up, it could have the reverse effect!
Supported by the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office.
