Skype lessons: a comfortable way to learn French

Sponsored contentLearning French is not like climbing a daunting mountain such as Le Mont Blanc, but more like strolling through in series of charming, green hills of the French countryside like in the Beaujolais region, that are constantly evolving over the years and the seasons.

Céline Van Loan and Vincent Anthonioz started their online language school 15 years ago by teaching French to English expatriates who had moved to small villages in France, and who needed to communicate with the locals.

What is important is to provide many verbal practice opportunities while giving constant feed-back to the student in order to gain confidence in speaking. “That’s the first step”, says Céline.

The key to learning French is personalisation, regularity, repetition and structured lessons given by professional, friendly and patient French native teachers. It is crucial to take private lessons regularly if the student wishes to see quick and real improvement.

Over the years, the students all agree that learning on Skype is a very comfortable, convenient and efficient solution.

They also enjoy the following benefits: scheduling the lesson at any time of the day, saving time on travelling to a language school, learning from a comfortable environment, experiencing a very interactive and visual lesson with the webcam and the chat box (that works like a blackboard in a classroom), focusing more on the sounds of the language, receiving notes of the lesson, and homework sent by email in between the lessons by the teacher.

The student just needs to be present in front of their computer or tablet and let the tutor guide them.

At Learn French at Home, the tutors are professionals, French natives (but all speak English) and are located either in Europe, US, or Canada.

They understand how challenging it can be to learn another language, that’s why they make learning French at home fun and easy.

Some of the teachers are experts in preparing the students to pass the DELF/DALF or the TCF ANF (or French nationality test) exams.

Others excel in teaching children. The school offers a total of 8 different lesson types.
