The rate of positive tests is the number of positive tests divided by the total number of tests over the past seven days.

Data provided immediately after weekends and bank holidays is lower than average. This is due to the testing facilities mainly being closed during these times.

Note: The graph updates automatically and is sometimes updated a day behind the figures given above, which are updated manually each day. The date is given in the graph and is also indicated above our daily updated figures. If the figure of the daily number of Covid-19 cases given above does not match with the most recent figure marked on the graph below, this is probably due to the fact that the graph's data is yet to update.

Can I travel to and from France right now?

France has a system of classing countries as green, amber or red for travel. The colour determines the rules set by France for people travelling from those countries and for people travelling from France to them. The UK is classed as amber, meaning that fully vaccinated people are allowed to enter France with minimal formalities but unvaccinated people can only enter if they have an 'essential reason' to do so and a negative Covid-19 test. France's rules are only part of the picture and you also need to note the rules in the corresponding country. The US was classed as green on France's travel list on June 18.
