Reader question: I saw that restaurants will be able to reopen their outside areas in the next few weeks, but what about hotel restaurants? When will they open?
Restaurants, cafés and bars will be able to reopen their outside areas on May 19 and this is also the date that hotels will be able to reopen their restaurants, but only for customers.
Clients staying in hotels will once again be able to eat breakfast, lunch or dinner while sitting at a table in a hotel restaurant from this date.
Restaurants in France have been closed since October 30.
A reopening plan, set out by President Emmanuel Macron, will see restaurant terraces reopen on May 19, with a maximum of six people to a table.
Restaurants will be able to reopen their indoor areas from June 9, again with a maximum of six people to a table.
