PHOENIX BOOK FAIR

If you have run low, or are even out, of books, by now, after what seems like a long and very wet winter, and a number of cancellations what better way to restock than at the Book Fair. The Fair will be organised to take account of current health regulations and guidelines and every effort will be made to make the event safe and enjoyable for everyone. We are insisting on the wearing of masks and hand sanitisation to avoid any confusion. Given the ever-changing situation, please check the Phoenix Facebook page for up-to-date information https://www.facebook.com/PhoenixAssociationFrance or https://www.phoenixasso.com At the Fair you will find over 20,000 used books in excellent condition – fiction, non-fiction, children’s, French, Dutch, antiquarian, collectibles, cookery, history and many more. You’ll also find DVDs, CDs and vinyl, jigsaws, children’s games, bric-a-brac, plants and cards. The Phoenix Catering Team will be serving a selection of delicious homemade goodies, both sweet and savory. Doors open at 9.00 am and close at 3.00 pm. Free parking is available. Children and dogs on leads are very welcome. All donations of books, CDs, DVDs, plants, bric-a-brac etc. are welcome on the day. Loose change can be handed into the Phoenix Red Marquee. This is also Phoenix’s 20th Anniversary so please come and partake of some delicious cake, hopefully cut by one of the Dordogne’s most famous authors!! And maybe even a glass of bubbly! All proceeds will go to the Phoenix Association to continue the work of caring for and rehoming animals in need. PLEASE COME AND JOIN US!
