Textile and Stitch exhibition

This textile craft exhibition lets visitors gain insight in the art of embrodiery and sewing. Sew'n Sews is an informal group of about 50 ladies, mostly of British nationality, who live between St Foy la Grande and Lot et Garonne, and meet regularly near Eymet to share their passion for crafting with textiles. Many of these ladies are members of the prestigious Embroiderers' Guild of Great Britain. Their works range from duvets for double beds to miniature models, reproductions of medieval embroidered boxes, decorated scarves ... to genuine 3D embroidered paintings all made by hand. The Sew'n Sews Group supports local charities and recently collected more than €3,000 in donations for the Association France Alzheimer in the Dordogne. A wine tasting is offered by the IVBD (Interprofession of the Wines of Bergerac and Duras) at the vernissage on May 2 from 5.30pm. Opening hours: Tuesday, Thursday and Friday: from 1.30pm to 5.30pm Wednesday and Saturday: 9.30am to midday Free entry. For more information, contact jean1.bernardi@gmail.com, 06 43 98 64 67
