Holidaymaker forgot to set hand-brake after parking and suffered crush injury when the vehicle moved

A MAN has been run over by his own car in the Dordogne after forgetting to set the hand-brake properly.

The 46-year-old driver, a visiting tourist from Paris, was taken to the emergency unit at Sarlat but his condition is not thought to be life-threatening.

He had parked his vehicle on a slight slope in Sarlat but when he stepped behind it the car started to move. He was trapped under the vehicle, suffering crush injuries to his chest.
