Covid-19: If self-isolation how do we get food?

My wife and I live in the Gers and have no-one locally who could shop for us if self-isolation is enforced or required.What are we able to do in order to feed ourselves if we are forced into isolation?

The government information services have stopped taking calls on Covid-19 by telephone and getting an official response by email is likely to take time - although we have submitted the request for you.
But a first stop for you will be your local mairie.

They already have plans to check up on all people over 70 during times of heatwaves, and so will have a list of vulnerable people in the commune.
So if you are told you have to self-isolate, telephone them and explain the situation, and ask how the commune is organising.
Also at the moment food home deliveries are operating.

Le Monde confirms that food shops and pharmacies in Italy remain open. The BBC says pasta factories are also open.
