Reader question: Do you need a PCR test to fly domestically within France? We plan to fly Nice to Lille next week.

You do not need a PCR Covid-19 test if your flight stays within metropolitan France, with the exception of flights to Corsica.

In the case of our reader, no test would be required before their Nice to Lille flight.

It will be necessary, though, to wear a surgical face mask for the entire duration of the journey, at the airport and on the plane.

Airport staff may also take your temperature using a thermal sensor before your flight.

Inter-regional travel within France was reopened on May 3.
