Snow has disrupted travel across much of France, but reactions vary sharply by region. 

What brings Paris to a halt barely registers in Savoie however, except as a reason to reach for the skis.

High in the French Alps, heavy snow is less a crisis than a familiar winter companion to be enjoyed.
