Airport ruling ‘soon’
Decisions concerning Notre-Dame-des-Landes airport are imminent
Experts looking for ways to end the row over the plan for Notre-Dame-des-Landes airport in Pays-de-la-Loire say there is “no perfect solution”.
The options were: the new airport sited on woods and farmland or extend the existing Nantes-Atlantique airport, which is on the edge of the city and has schools nearby, they said. Each option has serious objections on environmental and noise grounds. A decision is to be made this month.
