Banks’ good and bad results in stress tests

French banks have passed the European Central Bank’s stress tests that assess whether they can cope with financial shocks such as the 2008 crash.

Crédit Mutuel, BPCE and Cré­dit Agricole got good marks but BNP Paribas, Banque Postale, and Société Générale were below average. Barclays was bottom of 48 banks, just ahead of Lloyds.
